nowadays, it seems like people seem to talk more over the internet than they do face-to-face. although; with the power of voice conversations and video conversations courtesy of all the different messenger services available, who really needs to?

even with the ever growing popularity of internet blogging, some people still use journals. there are some things that you don't want to have spread across the internet, right?

want to tell the world what a bitch your enemy is? rant on about how amazing your new boyfriend/girlfriend is? then put it on myspace. all i can say is, don't forget that the whole world will be able to see it - i won't advise blogging while drunk or you may type something you'll regret.

is there something you want to tell somebody but can't say it to their face? [not even over im or cell phone?] or are you just bored of listening to your teacher droning on in class? then why not pass a few notes around. who knows, you might make a new friend.

scrapbooks are where your character can keep all of the things that don't fit in any of the other boards - things like photo albums, playlists, and if they want to they can even confess a couple of secrets. don't worry - all of the secrets are anonymous.

at the front of the school, there's this great big fountain that makes the place look even more fancy than it actually is. the problem is that it tends to make you want to pee if you listen to it for too long; yet at the same time it's oddly calming.

when the weather's warm, you are aloud to have a little swim outdoors for a change. it's quite pleasant, because you can't smell the chlorine as much... it's also pretty handy for late night pool parties, too.

even though there's no gym class, the goverment still insists that there should still be physical sport facilities of sorts on campus to 'prevent adolescent obsesity' or some crazy crap like that.

uh-oh... what'd you do this time? being called to the principal can make you or break you. you could either be getting some sort of award . . . or you could be getting dorm arrest for the unauthorised pool party you threw on friday.

because most of the injurys on campus are usually little things like sprained wrists and twisted ankles that don't really take much looking after, they have nurses on campus because it's easier than sending you all the way to the big general hospital in the city.

tut, tut... get caught skipping class under the bleachers again? maybe you should be a little more surreptitious next time. just try not to end up in here too much, or it may end up with a trip to the principal - which could even end up with you in dorm arrest. whoopsie.

yes, i know. groan. everybody hates math class. i know that this is a performing arts school but the goverment still insists that all pupils must be taught the three core subjects - maths, english and science. god knows why, hardly anybody bothers to attend anyway.

there are times when science class can be pretty boring... yet at the same time there are still some lessons where science class is the most awesome thing since sliced bread cause you get to blow things up!

not exactly the most exciting class on the school timetable. either way you still have to attend, because it's one of the core subjects and the goverment peoples in suits get all ticked off if it isn't on the timetable.

art, art, art... time to put your creative side to work. use as much paper as you want, feel free to vandalise the tables if you run out. just don't draw on the walls without permission, okay?

okay, so the food here isn't exactly gourmét. to tell the truth, it's nowhere near gourmét. but compared to the food in cafeterias of other schools, it's pretty decent. you can always go off campus and grab some pizza, anyway.

the dreaded auditorium. i say 'dreaded', because the only people who don't loathe being in here are either a) the drama nerds or b) the principal when he's giving the whole academy one of his, 'stay in school and stay off drugs' lectures that don't even make any difference.

the dance studio... not much to be said about it, really. it's just a great big room with mirrors down one side, and the floor is varnished so you have to be careful is your wearing socks - or you may end up slap bang on your butt.

the drama room, really, is pretty much the same as the dance studio - minus the mirrors. nobody really uses it that much, because the drama dorks mostly use the auditorium because it has 'better acoustics'. or something like that.

along with the art room, the music room is probably one of the most used classrooms in the whole hawthorne campus. at least, the most used classroom for the actual purpose as it was built for.

even with sites like wikipedia and google where you can simply copy and paste big paragraphs of useless information into a word document and call it your 'homework', some people still visit the library. mainly because they get a kick out of annoying the librarian.

the boy's dorm building is situated in the center of campus, to the right of the main lounge. any girls in the dorms have to leave by 9^pm and all lights have to be out by 11.30^pm. but since when did anybody listen to curfews?

the main lounge is that little building that sits inbetween the boys dorm and the girl's dorm. really, it's just like a bigger version of the girl's and boy's lounges - you still have to be back in your dorm by curfew, though.

the mall, the mall, the mall... what person in all of hollywood doesn't enjoy to shop? from hot topic to hollister, if you can name a store then it's almost assured to be here.

giovanni's. authentic, home-made italian food - none of that manufactured stuff you get from supermarkets. but be warned; if you want to reserve a table here you have to book several months in advance thanks to all of the pre-made celebrity bookings.

if hawthorne students get sent here, then it certainly must be more than a few cuts, bruises or a broken ankle. usually students are here because they're visiting a family member... lets try and keep it that way, alright?

thread trackers are handy ways to keep track of all the threads your character are involved in, so that you don't let anybody down by not posting in a thread for months because you forgot all about it. we don't want that to happen!

just talk about random... well... stuff here. like CHEESECAKE. yes yes, we LOVE to talk about all pie and cake here. and any other random topics that just seem to appear inside of our random little minds. yesh yesh.

come here and jabber on about yourself for a little while whilst you wait for somebody to reply to one of your threads. who knows? you might find out that you have alot in common with some of our crazy lovely little members round here.
