come break me down, marry me, marry me i am finished with you. Dead of night.
Juliette Saporta was buried under a pile of blankets in the dorm room that she shared with Isabel Archer, her Sidekick clutched tightly in a slender hand as she laid on her stomach staring at the Hello Kitty pillow she had on her bed. It was another sleepless night for the seventeen year old – filled with many a-text message from Felix Parker, her cousin, whom was talking about random things; one of them being the upcoming back-to-school dance which he was trying to figure out how to ask Isabel to. Other than the many messages from her slightly odd cousin, Juliette had little to no sleep because she kept having a recurring nightmare about her brother and her father – they were staring down at her and laughing manically while she was curled up in the corner of a dark room crying her eyes out. She didn’t think that it was fair that, after they had died, their memories were imprinted in her mind in one of the worst possible ways. She hadn’t exactly had a normal life, neither had she had a good life, in fact her life had been pretty much fucked up from the start. In all her seventeen years living on this planet, Juliette had never known anything of love, affection, care, safety or anything else in those categories because her parents weren’t very…well, they were bastards, as was her older brother Henrie; in fact the only person that ever truly cared for her was Rachael but she wasn’t around all the time because Henrie decided that since she was his twin he would have her all to his self and leave poor little Juliette out of the loop all the time. Oh, and she hadn’t found out about Felix being her cousin until her freshman year in Hawthorne and his sophomore year in Hawthorne.
About a half hour later, Juliette was still awake and getting slightly bored of being stuck in her dorm room under the pile of blankets. She didn’t want to spend another minute in the dorm at the moment because. Needing to get out before she went crazy, Juliette lifted the covers off of her head noiselessly and looked over to Isabel who was still sleeping. Carefully slipping out of her bed the seventeen year old girl pulled the blankets off of her completely and slipped out of bed dressed in her SpongeBob SquarePants pyjamas. Padding silently across the floor over to the closet for her shoes, the brunette made sure not to step on anything to wake Isabel up and opened her closet silently to retrieve her shoes. Once she had her shoes on her feet, Juliette realised that she was still wearing her pyjamas and resisted the urge to slap herself on the forehead; it didn’t matter though, it wasn’t like anyone was going to be walking around this late at night…although the Principle; he might. Shaking her head the medium heighted girl pushed the thoughts of anyone being around tonight to the back of her mind and instead padded back across the room to the dorm door where she picked up her key and slipped out of the room quietly. Although this didn’t quite go to plan because the door was squeaky. Wincing as it squeaked while she was opening, Juliette quickly looked over to Isabel and almost sighed loudly with relief when she saw that her dorm mate was still asleep. Shutting the door behind her even quieter, the girl clad in SpongeBob SquarePants pyjamas crept down the dark hallways of her performing arts school looking for a place to go; preferably a place that was unlocked.
It was pitch black in the hallways of this particular school, well why wouldn’t it be? It was the middle of the night, or maybe it was a bit later than that, like one, two or even three o’clock in the morning. Whatever time it was Juliette didn’t care because it was rare that she’d get the normal eight hours sleep because she had a severe case of insomnia which was brought on by the recurring nightmares of her father and older brother. It was a pain in the ass because she was always so tired and had hardly any energy which was a bad thing because she needed as much energy as was possible because her entry into Hawthorne had been for dance and that is what she was studying, along with art. Now that she thought about it actually the dance studio was probably one of the three places that would be left open over night, which meant that she could go in there and practice her dance routine and get some peace and quiet at the same time. It was the perfect plan, if she didn’t get caught. Juliette knew that she wouldn’t get caught, but there was always the element of surprise that the Principle liked to spring upon the students from time to time so she knew that she had to be very careful and tread quietly as she walked along the hallways to the dance studio. It was quite a long trek, she hadn’t realised, but it would be good for her because she liked to walk and there was no problem. And it wasn’t actually too long before she finally reached the dance studio. Before opening the door, Juliette looked over her shoulder then opened the door and slipped inside, quietly.
Now she wasn’t sure about whether or not to turn the lights on. If she didn’t then she would surely fall over something and alert anyone to her presence, and if she did she would also alert anyone to her presence – it was a lose-lose situation for the poor girl at the moment. Good thing she wasn’t afraid of the dark though. With a silent sigh, Juliette switched on one set of lights in the dance studio and moved with graceful ease through the dark part of the studio to the light part, where the stage was situated. Once at the stage, Juliette sat herself right in the middle of it and stared at the ceiling before laying back on her back and staring up at the ceiling again. It was a strange ceiling, so she thought; white with silvery/gray swirls and a few stars here and there. Allowing another silent sigh to pass her lips, Juliette closed her eyes and placed her hands behind her neck so that she could get comfortable. It wasn’t too long before she was asleep. Five o’clock in the morning. About half an hour later there was a loud bang and the poor girl was so startled that she sat up violently which gave her head rush and a sudden dizzy feeling which would pass in a moment or two. Then the door to the dance studio flew open and someone stepped inside. There was panic in Juliette’s breathing as she scrambled to her feet and hid behind the stage curtains. The footsteps grew closer and closer until they stopped before they hit the stage. Juliette peered around the corner of the curtains and squinted at the figure before her.

``look in my eyes, you're killing me, killing me, all i wanted was you.
Clarissa was sitting in her dorm room as she let a small sigh escape her rogued lips as she opened her eyes. She hadn't been asleep more than hour and she was already having those horrible nightmares. She hadn't learnt to control them and not scream out in the middle of the night like she did while she was a Freshman. She rubbed her eyes softly, getting the black eye make-up on to her hands. She couldn't be bothered to do anything about it right now, but instead just glared up at the ceiling, hoping that the sun would rise and she could just go to her first class and get all her jumbled thoughts out of her mind. She ran a finger against her skin and shuddered lightly, she had all that horrible foundation caked on to her face from when the royalties told her to put it on, it needed to come off.
It was dark in her dorm room and she daren't wake up her dorm mate by turning on a light and ruining her "beauty sleep". She hated being in here with another royalty because she had to be a bitch pretty much twenty four/seven. But then again, if someone else was in here, she'd have to be a bitch to her as well so she wouldn't tell everyone how nice she was and get her thrown out of royalty. Now, she was starting to question her place in royalty and if it was worth being hated for. It seemed so worth it in freshman year, but now she had it, she didn't want it, like most of the things she had. She sighed lightly and turned her attention to the problem in hand; she wanted to get rid of this disgusting make-up that was clogging up her pores. She knew she couldn't because as soon as she turned on the light, it would be turned out.
Already dressed in her pyjamas meant that all she needed to do was find some shoes to put on. The only shoes she knew of that would be easy to put on were her Vans that were sitting at the foot of her bed. After a few quick steps, the averaged sized girl was at the foot of the bed and slipping the white Vans with flamingo patterning onto her feet. She slowly crept out of the room and into the hallway. Everyone was asleep, well, she guessed so as there was no noises coming from everyone's dorms. She ran a hand through her hair as the sleepy sixteen year old girl wondered down the hallway. She yawned a little and covered her mouth as she began to walk down the stairs to get the toilets so she could clean herself up.
She had finally arrived at her destination and slowly wrapped her skinny fingers around the handle. She pushed down on it gentley and waited for the click. After it clicked, she slowly pushed the door open and gasped, slamming the door quickly. Oh yes, Clarissa had just seen something she never wanted to see; two random people in the toilets being intimate with each other. "Sorry," she said in a hushed tone through the door. She shivered slightly to herself. She just wish she could get the image of that out of her head. That's when he entered her head; Ashton. She remembered doing that to him, telling someone to walk in on them in a few minutes and catch them doing the dirty deed. She hung her head in shame slightly. She really did hate herself for everything she had done to him.
Clarissa started to wonder the halls with her head hung low. She was finally outside and breathed in deeply, taking the fresh air into her lungs. She guessed it must have been quite late as there weren't any students running around outside and hiding in the bushes like they usually did, even at one in the morning. She looked to the skyline and saw the first hints of sunlight, so it was way passed one in the morning, probably more like four. SHe wouldn't have any idea because her phone was in her dorm and she never wore a watch. She jumped slightly as she felt a cold droplet of water fall onto her nose. She looked skywards as the rain suddenly fell without stopping for a full twenty minutes. The usually glamorous girl stood there, letting the rain water wash away her make-up, hide the tears that were now falling and most of all, cleanse her of her sins.
Once the rain had stopped falling, she just stood there, still sobbing lightly to herself. Why was the girl sobbing? Mainly because it had hit her how bad her life was right now. Nearly everyone hated her because of someone she isn't. On top of that, she knew if she acted the way she wanted to, she would be ripped to pieces and no one would ever speak to her again, the royalties would think she is an idiot and then everyone else would shun her because of what she has already done to them. She rubbed her eyes heavily, almost trying to stop the tears, but they just kept streaming down her face in the form of black lines. She then wiped the remaining red lipstick away, causing it to smudge around her lips. She just didn't care right now that she looked pretty much like a drowned rat.
Clarissa had no desire to go back to her dorm room right now, she just wanted to find somewhere to be alone. She guessed that the school would be completely empty now. She slowly made her way towards the school, counting her steps to make sure she had the right amount. She finally nodded as she arrived through the schools front doors. She then made her way down the corridor, each step leaving a little pool of water behind her and creating a slight squelching noise. She didn't know where would be best to go right now, but she thought she should go where she felt at home; the dance studio. She turned the corner in her normal manner of pausing, then following the wall around the corner slowly, making sure she followed it perfectly. Once the corner was out the way, she had the ordeal of opening the door. She was starting to realise that her obsessive compulsive behaviour was brought on my her own thoughts.
The sound of the water dripping from her hair distracted her from thinking about her OCD. She finally approached the dance studio door and slowly place her cold and wet hand upon it. She took a deep breath and slowly pushed the door, yes, she knew that was the wrong way to open the door, but she had to do it this way. After pushing for exactly three seconds, she pulled the door open slowly, just the right speed. Once the door was fully open, she let go of the handle and rushed in before the door could close in front of her. She smiled slightly to herself as the door closed behind her. She glanced around curiously, seeing that the lights were already on. Having to turn them on herself, she flicked the light off and then flicked them on, each in turn, exactly three seconds after each other and in the correct order. She squinted slightly, letting her eyes adjust to the light and then looked over to see a small girl from behind the curtains.
"Hello?" she said, starting to question her own sanity, wondering if this girl was actually there.
